Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the TaskFavour website (taskfavour.com), the TaskFavour mobile application ("App"), and any related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.

TaskFavour is operated by TaskFavour AI Services Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada ("TaskFavour", "we", "us", or "our").

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

1.1. TaskFavour is a job discovery platform that aggregates publicly available job listings and provides tools to help job seekers find relevant opportunities. Our services include:

  • A searchable job board featuring listings from across the web;
  • Job alert subscriptions that notify you when new jobs match your filters;
  • AI-powered job matching that surfaces relevant roles based on your preferences;
  • An application tracker to help you manage your job search;
  • A mobile app (Android) with real-time push notifications for job matches.

1.2. TaskFavour is a discovery and notification tool only. We do not post jobs on behalf of employers, facilitate the hiring process, or act as a recruiter or employment agency. All job listings are sourced from third-party websites.

1.3. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any job listing displayed on the Platform. Listings may be outdated, filled, or inaccurate by the time you view them.

2. USER ACCOUNTS

2.1. To access certain features (job alerts, job matches, application tracker), you must create an account. You must be at least 18 years old to register.

2.2. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or allow others to access it on your behalf.

2.3. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.

2.4. TaskFavour reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates this Agreement, engages in abuse of the Platform, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

2.5. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@taskfavour.com.

3. PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION

3.1. TaskFavour offers a Premium subscription plan that unlocks additional features including unlimited job alerts, unlimited job match history, and real-time push notifications on the mobile app.

3.2. Free Trial. New Premium subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial. The trial period begins on the date you subscribe. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee.

3.3. Billing. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you select). Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise TaskFavour to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

3.4. Cancellation. You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that date.

3.5. Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@taskfavour.com.

3.6. TaskFavour reserves the right to modify subscription pricing or features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Premium subscription after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance.

3.7. Stripe's terms of service, available at stripe.com/ssa, govern all payment processing and are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

4. JOB LISTINGS AND THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

4.1. Job listings displayed on the Platform are aggregated from publicly available third-party sources. TaskFavour does not create, own, or verify these listings and is not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

4.2. TaskFavour is not an employer and has no involvement in any employment relationship between you and any employer whose listing appears on the Platform. We make no representations about the quality, legitimacy, or safety of any employer or position.

4.3. You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before applying to any position, including researching the employer and verifying the legitimacy of the listing.

4.4. External links to job postings will direct you to third-party websites. TaskFavour is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those websites.

5. USER CONDUCT

5.1. You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without written permission;
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform;
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
  • Create multiple accounts or abuse free trial offers;
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the Platform.

5.2. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these conduct rules.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1. All content, design, software, trademarks, and materials on the Platform that are original to TaskFavour are owned by or licensed to TaskFavour. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

6.2. Job listings and third-party content remain the property of their respective owners. TaskFavour does not claim ownership over aggregated third-party listings.

6.3. By providing any feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Platform, you grant TaskFavour a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

7. PRIVACY

7.1. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

7.2. We use Firebase (Google) for analytics and push notifications. By using the Platform, you agree to Google's privacy and data processing terms to the extent applicable.

7.3. We will handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

8. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8.2. TaskFavour does not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
  • Job listings will be accurate, current, or available;
  • Use of the Platform will result in employment or job interviews;
  • Push notifications or job alerts will be delivered without delay.

8.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskFavour and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunity, lost data, or reliance on job listing information.

8.4. TaskFavour's total liability to you for any claim arising under this Agreement will not exceed the greater of (a) the total subscription fees you paid to TaskFavour in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $50.00.

8.5. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law, including consumer protection legislation.

9. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS AGREEMENT

9.1. We may update this Agreement at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before they take effect.

9.2. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.

9.3. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the Platform and may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

10. TERMINATION

10.1. You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time.

10.2. TaskFavour may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate this Agreement or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

10.3. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.

11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

11.1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

11.3. Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at info@taskfavour.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.

12. GENERAL

12.1. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12.2. TaskFavour's failure to enforce any right or provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

12.3. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and TaskFavour regarding the Platform and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.

12.4. TaskFavour may assign this Agreement to any successor entity without your consent. You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement.

12.5. This Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and TaskFavour.
